Your membership serves as a vote of confidence, helps cover Society expenses, nets you discounts for WCRS sponsored concerts, places you on the mailing list to receive our West Coast Ragtimer published two to three times per year, and makes you welcome at WCRS Board meetings (not to mention, vulnerable for volunteer work).
The Society meets once a year for the Annual Meeting which is held during the Festival. At the meeting, the membership elects the Board of Directors and conducts other business that may come before the Society. Throughout the remainder of the year, the Board of Directors meets once a month in Sacramento, CA to conduct Society business and plan the annual Festival. Members are always welcome to attend any Board of Directors meeting.

Volunteer
Festival Volunteers are the backbone of the Society. We welcome volunteers to assist with the festival. Volunteer services are needed prior to, during, and after the Festival. Volunteer activities include Door Monitoring, Musician Hospitality, and Other. Volunteers who serve a minimum of 12 hours during the festival (or immediately before or after the Festival) will receive an All-Events pass to the festival. Those who cannot serve 12 hours may serve one 4 hour shift on any day of the Festival and receive free admission for that day.

We welcome your voluntary contribution to aid the Society in its mission! West Coast Ragtime Society is a 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization and is entirely a run by volunteers. Badge sales alone do not cover the totality of costs associated with producing the annual festival, our youth program, piano moving and tuning, equipment purchases and maintenance, newsletter production and mailing, advertising, insurance, and even ASCAP fees.
